The Naps

When I first moved to Austin, The Naps were one of the first bands who wanted to work with me. Through mutual connections and texting we met at their home and shot the above images. This was the first time I ever shot musicians in a way that felt very natural and not as posey. I loved how chill everything was as I observed the band members. It was very much a “this is Austin” kind of introduction in my mind at least, photographing local rising musicians but I felt this was a special moment to not create images for marketing but for time capsules sake.
